What home inspection is and what we do :
A professional home inspection greatly reduces your risks associated with buying a house by discovering the defects of the property, their implications, the best way to deal with them, and, most of the time, the cost of correcting the defects. In addition, it is highly informative for you to understand the systems in the house. For this reason we strongly encourage you to attend the inspection. At the inspection we visually inspect all accessible systems and components of the house, including:

• Roof and flashings, gutters, downspouts, and drainage
• Exterior and building envelope, porches, and decks
• Structure, basement, and crawlspace
• Electrical components
• Heating and cooling according to the season
• Plumbing, water heater
• Insulation in interior, including safety concerns
• Garages and carports
• Bathtub, whirlpools, and shower stalls

We will focus on identifying any major problems that would affect your buying decision, as well as safety issues. A normal inspection for an average size house will take two-and-a-half to three hours. You will subsequently receive a complete written report on the spot, which includes a great deal of useful information for home owners and will be a serviceable reference for the future.
